York Solar Energy are working with Yorkshire Energy Partnership in a trial of the scheme in the New Earswick, Haxby, Wigginton, Huntington and Strensall areas of York.
Yorkshire Energy Partnership will select households that are suitable for solar panel installations. The households will then receive local authority branded material inviting them to contact the local Energy Saving Trust.
The local Energy Saving Trust will provide free, independent advice about the environmental and financial benefits of PV solar panels.
Yorkshire Energy Partnership are a 'not for profit' organisation that supports 'homes, businesses and communities to choose affordable, sustainable alternatives'. Yorkshire Energy Partnership work with accredited local businesses to ensure any work is to the highest standard.
Yorkshire Energy Partnership manage the local Energy Saving Trust advice centre. The advice centre provides advice to homes and businesses on how to reduce their carbon footprint and lessen energy costs. |
